How do the hidden effects of electric cars affect the environment?

The painting portrays an electric car charging port right in the center, with the factories and smoke pipes to the right in various dull colors. To the right of the charger are some trees, both full and dead, slowly getting duller as they approach the left side. The catch comes when you notice the car charger is actually connected to and being fueled by the industrial zone which is letting off loads of pollution into the air. Much thought was put into the creation of this painting as I want your eye to first catch the attention of the brightly colored charging port, and the bright green trees that sit on the far left, making you oblivious to the fact that the cord leads the factories in the distance. This is the same way that many people think of the issue as well. At first, all you notice is the green and ecosystem-positive cars that require no natural gases but as you do your research you realize there is more to it. The same as looking at the painting. When you notice the cord you realize the real meaning behind the painting and the same impact all cars have on the environment.

This artwork works to portray the misconceptions about electric cars, showing how they are not as clean as some may think. Everything made has an origin and many tend to reject the fact that the same factories creating loads of pollution are the same ones providing the power for electric cars and even creating everything that has to do with the car themselves. The painting answers the question, where does the electricity come from? And where are the cars themselves made?
