Porsche Taycan
Although a newcomer in the electric motorcar scene, the Porsche Taycan has made an extremely good mark. With the beautiful, sleek, and classic Porsche design, one can't help but love it. Mixed with the spacious and comfortable interior, the Taycon is a must-have on the list. In the lower models of these vehicles, you have the option between either one or two motors and different battery sizes to suit your needs. The power this car has the potential to produce when purchasing a higher level vehicle such as the Porsche Macan GTS can reach up to 509 horsepower ("Best Electric Sedan").
Pricing
Since last year the price of the Taycan has actually dropped by around $20,000. This leaves the standard 70.2 kWh battery version to an MSRP of $82,700; however, with a larger battery pack the price increases by around $5,780. And the prices only go up from there with the other models of the Taycan such as the 4S reaching an MSRP of $103,800. Not to mention the $5,000 extra for the larger battery pack and the $1,000 delivery fee. Don't let the prices deter you, though, from the experience a Porsche brings you. ("Best Electric Sedan").
Driving Experience
The base Porsche Taycan can hit 0-60 mph in 5.1 seconds. But when upgraded to the higher models such as the GTS, the time drops to 3.5 seconds, providing the speed and power that Porsche has in every model, even the electric ones. The handling is no less than what you would expect out of a sports car and something with the name Porsche on it. With the low suspension and battery placed in the middle of the car, it handles like an absolute gem. Cornering is no problem for this car with the low center of gravity and proves it is meant to be on the track ("Best Electric Sedan"). The drivers at Top Gear state “The steering is spot on, not massively detailed in its feedback, but not overly caffeinated either and with a sense that your hands have a direct connection to the front wheels” ("Porsche Taycan Driving, Engines & Performance”).
