Ford Mustang Mach-E
The Mach-E does a good job of combining the iconic Mustang name with modern technology and strives for a greener way of transportation. The exterior keeps some of the same details such as the front lights and tail lights that are seen in generations of the Ford Mustang. When first released, there was controversy over the idea of turning the classic American muscle car electric but it has been able to prove its ability in the EV world. The Mach-E gives you a range of up to 300 miles on a single charge and varied performance levels depending on the trim you choose (“Best Electric Vehicles of 2023”).
Pricing
The Mach-E is priced competitively at $42,000 for the base trim. This is surprising due to the iconic name and stunning performance. The mid-range premium trim level starts at around $48,000, while the show-stopping GT model starts at around $60,000. These do not include the additional options and features that you can add which increase the overall price (“Best Electric Vehicles of 2023”).
Driving Experience
Just because this Mustang is electric, does not mean they were settling for anything less than the quick acceleration and ample torque of your classic Mustang. The GT trim reached 0-60 in just 3.5 seconds. The Mustang is, however, slightly heavier than your regular EV making it slower to stop, but not slower when going around turns. The smooth-riding cabin due to the perfectly tuned suspension also shows in the Mach-E’s turning power. Similar to the Hyundai, the regenerative braking system implemented helps save money on power and the life expectancy of the brake pads. All of this mixed with the spacious interior is a recipe for success (“Best Electric Vehicles of 2023”).
