Ford F-150 Lightning
The Ford F-150 was Ford's first attempt at making a fully electric pick-up truck. It strongly resembles the most popular truck in the United States, the Ford F-150. The only differences between the fully electric and traditional are the front light bar that runs across the grille, the unique wheels, and the lightning badge. This appeals to many people that are looking for a more traditional-looking car with the same benefits as an electric vehicle. The truck has the ability to reach 300 miles on one charge which makes it extremely practical for daily use. However, because of the 563 horsepower and 775 lb-ft of torque, it has the ability to pull any object at great distances. The interior holds a large center-mounted touch screen but does not have a super modern look which appeals to many ("Best Electric Cars").
Pricing
The starting price for the base model is around $55,000, while the higher-end models could cost over $90,000. This, of course, changes depending on the various packages available and other features that could be added on. Really decking this thing out can prove to be costly but shows how the Lightning can appeal to lots of people ("Best Electric Cars").
Driving Experience
The Ford F-150 Lightning was designed with off-roading and towing in their mind. The electric powertrain provides instant torque, which comes in handy when driving off-road or towing. The all-terrain package that includes features like all-terrain tires, skid plates, and off-road-tuned suspension helps tremendously as well. The Lightning can tow anything up to 10,000 pounds, along with the man towing features. These features take nothing away from its on-road capabilities as well. It had been engineered to offer a comfortable and enjoyable on-road driving experience, with impressive acceleration and handling, as well as advanced safety and driving assistance features ("Best Electric Cars").
